What is the difference between DAILY OIL and RITUAL OIL?
DAILY OIL is lightweight and absorbs in under a minute with a satin finish, so it's made for daytime use between hand washes, typing and texting. RITUAL OIL is richer and slower to absorb by design. It's meant for nighttime, when it has hours to work while you sleep. Many people use both: Daily during the day, Ritual before bed.
How often should I use cuticle oil?
Every day. Your cuticles deal with water, soap, sanitizer and nail products daily, so daily care keeps up best. Apply after washing your hands and before bed.
Can I use it with gel, acrylic, dip or press-on nails?
Yes. Apply it to the skin around the nail and massage it in. It keeps your cuticles soft and your manicure looking fresh. For press-ons, apply the oil after your nails are on, not before, because oil on the nail plate can keep the adhesive from sticking. Avoid soaking the edges of the press-on.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Our formulas are oil-based with no water, no fillers and a low amount of essential oils, made with sensitive skin in mind. Everyone's skin is different, so we recommend a patch test before first use. Please check the full ingredient list on each product page before purchasing.
Do your products contain nuts?
DAILY OIL contains sweet almond oil, which comes from a tree nut. If you have a nut allergy, please check each product's ingredient list or reach out to us before ordering.
Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?
Our cuticle oils are made entirely from plant-based ingredients and are never tested on animals. Some seasonal items, like our candles, contain beeswax, so they aren't vegan. Ingredients are always listed on each product page.
Why is there no water in your oils?
Water evaporates and takes moisture with it. Oils stay on the skin, help slow moisture loss and deliver fatty acids and vitamins where you need them. No water also means no preservatives are needed.
How long does a bottle last, and how should I store it?
Unopened, our oils are best within 12 months. Store them away from heat and direct sunlight, because a nightstand or a bag works better than a sunny windowsill. If the scent or color changes noticeably, it's time to replace it.
Where are your products made?
Every product is handcrafted in small batches in California.
